Joint research of German and Korean institutes in Dresden

At the "Universelle Werke" in Dresden, an innovation center for startups, research and technology companies in the fields of lightweight construction and new materials, digitization and future mobility, a German-Korean technology center (DKTZ) has been opened.

Since 2017 the Korea-Germany Materials Center has already been in operation in the Korean city Changwon as a joint project of the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS, the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology (ILK) of the Technische Universität Dresden, and the Korea Institute of Material Science (KIMS).

The DKTZ is now to build on this successful cooperation.
